Increase health coverage in state - Muskogee Daily Phoenix

Fortunately, there are some easy ways to fix this problem and get Oklahoma on the road to reform. Oklahoma politicians should start by implementing some simple measures that will harness the power of the public and private sectors.
Sign up everyone who qualifies for public health insurance.
Fully 12 million uninsured Americans, including three-quarters of uninsured children nationwide, are already eligible for public health insurance. They simply have not been signed up due to bureaucratic obstacles at both the state and federals levels.
Lawmakers in Oklahoma should do their part to simplify public-insurance enrollment procedures and cut down on administrative steps that might act as barriers to access. One way to do this is by establishing “express-lane eligibility” enrollment programs for the uninsured. This is exactly what California has done: Those already registered for other public assistance programs are rapidly enrolled in public health insurance.
