Liability Car Insurance Wyoming WY
Reader’s Question:
My brother, who’s living with us here in Wyoming, left for Europe, and will be there until 2010. His car is insured full coverage (all 3 cars in the household are insured full coverage, actually). Since the car is going to remain parked for quite a long time, we decided to arrange with the car insurance company and have the liability coverage of his car reduced to save money. How about if we completely eliminate coverage on the car? No one in the household is going to use it. Can we do it?

In the case of your brother’s car, you will have to check with the state of Wyoming as to the legality of the act. The state insurance and financial responsibility laws will decide whether on not your brother will qualify for the total elimination of the car insurance coverage, liability coverage and everything else, while he is in Europe. After all, it would be a waste insuring a car that no one will use for a very long time.
The Department of Motor Vehicles of Wyoming can help you with the issue. In most states, this is what happens: If he decides to completely take insurance off his car, then he will need to surrender the plates and registration, so that the State DMV will not fine the owner, and also to avoid being penalized for an uninsured vehicle.
Another reminder, Charlotte: usually, you cannot park an unregistered car in a public lot or in a public street or roadway. To avoid your car being cited or even towed, you may park or store your uninsured car on a private property like a driveway or garage. So, if you surrender the plates and registration of the vehicle, try to make sure it is parked legally.

Car accidents/providing proof of insurance in State of Wyoming?
Dec 07, 2007 by puppybarnes | Posted in Insurance & Registration
Does anyone know the laws regarding car accidents in Wyoming and how long you have to produce proof of insurance? I know MN you have 24 hours.
You have seven days to cough up proof of insurance - but it must be in force at the time it was requested.

Car Insurance Rates: Wyoming vs Nevada?
Dec 13, 2006 by E u g e | Posted in Insurance & Registration
Wyoming - Nevada - Ohio - Georgia
Check out http://www.surfquotes.com/autoinsurance.html and put in the different states using similar coverage amounts to determine the price differences. I would use them since their form is real short and accurate.

How do I get out of a no-proof-of-insurance ticket in Wyoming.?
Apr 30, 2008 by Red Encryption | Posted in Insurance & Registration
I was pulled over without insurance, I had bought the car that day and I took it for a test drive and I got pulled over. The car had no insurance on it. I would like to know please.
The suggestion that works gets the Best Answer
Call your insurance provider have them give you a temporary insurance card as you will still be covered under your old automobile insurance and give that to the court the day you have to pay your ticket.
