I live in Missouri and was wanting to know how to find out my land lords home owner insurance Holder is?
Aug 23, 2006 by mark h | Posted in Renting & Real Estate
I was hurt on my land loards proprty and the manager won't tell me the insuance companys name to file a claim
this person is a slum lord that won't fix nothing
I assume the land lords property was substandard and this led to you being hurt. Its easy really all you have to do is report you land lord and the property manager to the real estate division as they have violated your rights to a certain standard of property, other thing you could do is demand the property manager provide you with this information or you will vacate said property with continuing your lease, no you will not be held liable for unpaid rent as its called contructive eviction. Means that both the landlord and property manager are at fault, most property managers do not like this so he might work with you if you threaten him w ith this.

Licensed insurance agent looking for work from home! Can anyone refer me?
Jun 23, 2007 by ALB675 | Posted in Insurance
I have 3 children and nowhere for them to go during the summer months, I live in a rural area in Missouri. I am a licensed insurance agent but quit my job in May to stay home with my kids and possibly continue my education. The continued education plan fell through and I am needing to go back to work. I have heard of many insurance agents working from home but have yet to find or get a hold of a company to work for. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
Many insurance agents work from home but they need to be available to make sales calls. With kids at home that probably won't work for you.
There are several work at home websites such as www.wahm.com that will help you find a work at home job is that is what you need. Read through the message boards and post questions.

Am buying a home in Springfield MO and am being asked to pay for Title Insurance, have just sold my home in Arkansas and I was the one who had to pay for the Title Insurance. So I am a little confused.
I'm next door in Joplin. We've purchased two homes over the years and have paid for the title insurance both times.

Health coverage after a layoff - abc7news.com

5 Steps to Take for Holding on to Your Insurance Coverage 1. COBRA. While this may be the most expensive option, it's a good one for someone with a pre-existing medical condition. For people recently laid off, the first, immediate option to review is COBRA coverage. COBRA is required of businesses with 20 or more employees. It provides continuation of group health coverage that otherwise might be terminated. One common myth about COBRA coverage is that it is only good for 18 months, but quite often this is not the case as it can be continued indefinitely through state COBRA programs. First steps include checking with the employer's human resources department to receive complete information on how to qualify for COBRA, the costs and how to apply. If COBRA is an option, it should be carefully reviewed before being refused as once it's dismissed, it can't be recalled. 2. Going from a double- to a single-income family. For the family in a two-income home where one parent has been laid off, checking into programs like Healthy Families is an important step. In many states, a family of 4 can make up to $60,000 (California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Vermont, Washington, D.C.) and in other states up to $50,000 a year (Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, New Mexico, New York, Washington) and still qualify the children for comprehensive coverage. These programs may provide low-cost health coverage for children and teens up to age 19 including comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage. Moving the family's young dependents from private insurance to government sponsored plans can reduce monthly premiums and perhaps make a family's adult private premium coverage affordable.
