Business license / insurance question?
I live in North Carolina and I need some vinyl siding work done on my home.
I found a small company that has given me a reasonable estimate.
I was wondering if there is a way that I can find out if this comapny is licensed and insured without asking the contractor directly.
Is there a registry of sorts that I can check?
I just got off of the phone with him & he was nasty.
He told me that he was not obligated to show me any of that.
I am beginning to wonder....
It was dirt cheap, and his 3 workers don't speak the language.
He spoke to me like I was a three year old.
This man just called me back and asked me who I think I am.
I have reason to believe he is operating without a license and emplying illegal workers.
Where can I report this guy, anyone know?
better business bureau!! but to see if he is insured you have to ask him for his insurance certificate. DONT BE AFRAID TO ASK THE CONTRACTOR!!!! call me and i'll do an estimate for you.
