medical insurance for fam of four in north carolina?

I am relocating from south east Asia to the state of north Carolina, need to find out how much a self insured family of four can expect to pay in monthly premium for a managed health care program like blue cross blue shield or kaiser permanente.
no smart ars answers please, because I just report you as a email violator, this is a serious question.
no need either for a long speech about qualifying for Medicaid, I already know I won't qualify for that.

Are there any companies that will give you a home owner's insurance if you have any medical problems?

My sister and her husband have tried to get home owner's insurance but were turned down. She said they were denied because her husband is a diabetic and she is considered obese because of her weight She may be overweight BUT not obese. They need the insurance in case of one of the other's demise in the future that the home will be paid for. They are purchasing a triple-wide mobile home in North Carolina. Can you please give me the name(s) of insurance companies that will be able to give them home owner insurance in North Carolina.

First of all, they are not looking for Homeowners Insurance. That is insurance on the house to protect them against fire or other damage to the house. What they are looking for is mortgage life insurance which will pay off if one of them dies. Since they have health problems, the best bet would be to go through the company where they have the mortgage. It will probably be impossible to find a company that will insure them outside of the mortgage company itself. Try that and good luck.

The 1986 federal Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act, or COBRA, allows employees to continue their coverage with the company's insurance plan, but the former employee must pay the full premium plus a 2 percent administration fee.

“It's as much as our mortgage,” Carolyn Comeau said. “We've gone through all our savings, all our retirement money, to keep our coverage.”

A study released Friday by Families USA, a nonprofit national health care advocacy organization, shows that the average COBRA monthly premium for a family consumes more than 80 percent of the average unemployment insurance check.

Adam Searing of the NC Health Access Coalition called the program “utterly inadequate” because of its cost to the consumer. COBRA costs rise as health care premiums rise, so they are rising faster than unemployment benefits.

At the same time, unemployment rates continue to soar, reaching 7.2 percent on Friday, the highest level in 16 years.
