How much does home insurance run a year in southern Ohio?

I am purchasing a home in southern Ohio that is worth around $50k. It is in good shape but very old with updates.

What is the best insurance company to get auto and home through in Ohio?

I want to get them both through the same company because they give you discounts rates. The insurance will be for two cars and include my wife on the account. Is there an easy place to compare rates?

We had Allstate for several years and when we purchased our new home and car, we decided to compare rates. Allstate was the highest. Nationwide was okay, but they required a membership to the Farm Bureau to get their rates??!!?? We went with State Farm. We got more coverage for less money than any other place we compared.

What's the quickest way to become an Ohio Licensed Insurance Agent?

I want to get my Insurance license. Primarily for Accident and Health at this time. Of course anything with the complete package will suffice too. I will be residing in Ohio and working out of my home. I am wishing to do it as quickly, effortlessly and the least expensive as possible. Thanks in advance for the input.

Resident agent applicants must complete the following prelicensing education program requirements from an Ohio approved pre-licensing provider, prior to taking an examination:

Life / Variable Products
Accident & Health
Property
Casualty
Personal Lines
Surety Bail Bond

Ohio resident applicants must complete pre-licensing education from an approved pre-license provider for each of the above-mentioned lines of authority. The educational requirements may be met by either completing a 20-hour classroom course or successfully completing an approved self-study course.
