I'm moving to Alaska and I need advice about health insurance.?

I'm moving to Alaska in January and will be needing health insurance. Is there any cheap insurance there or something you can get based on your income? I will be getting a job eventually,but I need something before that and if the job is only part-time. My dad had lived there all his life and I will be moving in with him. Does that make a difference with anything?

Hang on, maybe the prez elect will help you out? The publicans won't that is for sure.

The season I'm looking to work is next summer. I would prefer southern Alaska. Any suggestions?

This is an organization that you may join yearly or like I did, lifetime. There are jobs jalore. Just read the site & see if that's something you might go for.

A camper would help, but many jobs have a place to live. I don't worry about that since I travel in a motor home.

I have friends who drive tour buses in Juneau for Princess Cruise Lines and love it. This is their second year and they are touring the Far East, on Princess, for free all Winter. They have the best benfits of any cruise line that I have seen. They also have a fabulous training program. My friends found this job at workamper.com

Does Alaska have free medical insurance?

Oregon has OHP (Oregon Health Plan) for low income people, does anyone know if Alaska does? I can't find it through google. I know they have Danali childrens insurance.

the only program is Denali Kid Care for children whose parents are considered low-income. Go to the State of Alaska website and it should be under Health and Human Services.
