Is car insurance in Alaska more expensive than in the lower 48 states?

I live in Florida and drive a 2004 Chevrolet Aveo. I am 20yrs old and am still making payments on my car, so I have to have full coverage on my car. Here in Florida I pay $164.00 a month which is ridiculous enough, so I just want to make sure its not going to be even more expensive in Alaska.

Alaska has one of the highest automotive premium rates in the country. There are only 10 states with higher insurance rates than Alaska, and Florida is not one of them!
So chances are, you will be paying a higher rate, especially given your age. If I were you, I'd check for more information online and see what kind of rate to expect. There are lots of sites that allow you to plug in info and get insurance quotes.

Husband is a felon, will we have any complications traveling through Canada to get to Alaska?

My husband is a felon. We are moving from Arizona to Alaska and I am wondering if there will be any difficulties going through the border patrol of Canada with felony possession of marijuana in his background.
So far, we understand that we need our state issued identification card/driving license and proof of citizenship.
What about car insurance, what will they accept, what are their requirements?
If he was charged over 5 years ago and has had no trouble with the law since you should be fine. You can find all this info on the Canadian Border Services website. If its within 5 years though, sorry, they won't let you cross. In that case I would suggest you fly.
Make sure you have your birth certificate and one piece of photo I.D. Of course it's good to have proof of ownership and insurance but I've crossed the border a gazillion times and never been asked this. Actually I went down to Ohio for a week and totally forgot I had an outdated insurance certificate hahaha!

I just got a ticket for speeding, 68/55 as I was passing a car going 42..............Alaska I am not sure if I should debate it or not. the officer told me that the speed limit was 55 when I asked him...I only have one more day until I decide what to do..Oh! the other thing is I really do not want to tell my husband......We just got new insurance and he will really freak.....................
Well if the speed limit is 55 and the officer clocked you doing 68 you were speeding. Just because you slowed down to pass someone doesn't mean anything. You were clocked by the cop doing 68.
