How long does it stay on my record for not appearing in court to show proof of car insurance in Arkansas?

I was pulled over for minor traffic violation and was told to appear in court to show proof of insurance as I did not have that at the time. Did not go. Is this still on my record. This happend in Arkansas, 9 years ago. I am applying for a visa to immigrate to different country now. Do I need to report this or is it off my record?
It's still on your record most likely. If they issued a warrant, that is still pending as well.

My husband was laid off recently and our car insurance lapsed because of our finances. My husband was pulling out of a gas station going right, and a girl turns left into the driveway and hits him. I am at a complete loss as what to do. The insurance deemed it his fault, and we do not know how to fight if. On top of that, they sent us a bill for almost $5000.00 dollars. Although I know it was extremely stupid of him to drive the car without insurance, I know it wasn't his fault. The insurance company says they can revoke both mine and his driver's license if we don't pay in 15 days. Does anyone know the law in Arkansas? Also, would we have a strong case if we pursued a lawyer and counter sued? I do know in Arkansas that if someone else is at fault in the wreck it doesn't matter if the other person is insured, they still have to pay. I think the insurance company may be trying to get over on us. Any suggestions?
Those of you moaning about insurance companies need to just chill. You forgot one very important thing here.

The consequences are, if you have an accident and are at fault, it will cost you money out of your pocket since you have no insurance to pay for the damages you caused. You can also get a ticket, perhaps lose your license, and maybe even have your car towed.
Not only does Arkansas require you to be insured to drive, you can be fined for not carrying your proof of insurance with you.

If you found an attorney to handle your situation, (not likely), the court would find he, leaving private property, had to yield to traffic on the road or turning into the private property, which obviously he didn't. Keep in mind there is no provision in the law which says "You have to be insured, unless of course you were laid off and have problems meeting your bills."
Hopefully you are now insured. Pay the bill, or prepare to not have a license.

There is no such thing as cheap ins. for anyone who just got their license! Sorry!
The companies know that statistically, you are more likely to have an accident. Your best bet is to get on your parents policy and pay them the difference if that's possible.
