Who do you book travel insurance through (if USA resident???)?

Hi, I am wondering if I need to book travel insurance for my mom. She will be traveling with me for about 3 weeks through the USA (hawaii and around the mainland US). Do I need to buy travel insurance for her? She lives in Colorado so does she need travel insurance to go to Hawaii? I don't think she will while going around the mainland either. If she does need insurance, can anyone recommend a good company? She's a senior. Thanks for any help!

Are you looking for a health insurance rider or are you looking for travel insurance like if your trip is canceled or she gets sick and needs to be transported somewhere else?

When I buy airline tickets online I have an option there to do it - I believe Geico sells Travel/Trip insurance.

I don't know about a seperate health insurance if that's what you want.

Travel Health Insurance. Can you recommend a company that will payout quickly without hassle's?

My kids are travelling from Australia to Hawaii, can anyone recommend a travel health insurance company that will take good care of them without any hassel's if something happens to them.

Riverview resident Mildred Jackson is currently realizing one of her life dreams -- she and her husband, Paul MacDonald, left on Jan. 4 for a 10-day tour of Egypt.

"I have always wanted to go to Egypt," said Mildred just before they left. "The pyramids and the sphinx are the last remaining of the Seven Ancient Wonders of the World."

The couple generally take one major trip a year -- either a land trip or a cruise -- and are often to somewhere warm. Their destinations have included Hawaii, Europe, California, Las Vegas, and the Caribbean.

To get to Egypt, the couple flew from Moncton to Toronto to New York for an overnight stay before flying direct to Cairo.

"We will fly from Cairo to Aswan, where we will visit a major dam, then board a ship for a four-night cruise of the Nile. We will travel north on the river and each morning we stop at a port for a tour and each afternoon, we stop at a different port and have another tour," she said.

Upon their return to Cairo, the couple will visit the pyramids and sphinx at near-by Giza as well as many other archaeological sites.
