Well, likely it's not going to be worth the cost of getting it.

It's an endorsement on your Workers Compensation policy, so start with the agent that writes that. But here in Texas, unless you're willing to pay $100,000 (yep, no typo there) you can ONLY get it through TExas Mutuall, and the minimum premium for that endorsement is $25,000.

So it's really NOT CHEAP.

A large, independent agency in your area should be able to do it, but they AREN'T going to want to write "stand alone" comp - they'll want the whole account. And the comp will end up with the state fund, or the AL equivelant, unless your account is big enough (ie, you pay over $250,000 a year in insurance premiums) for Travelers or Zurich large accounts.

So depending on how big your small business is . . .you just might not be able to do this.
