Crafting in Maryland
by Qandishah Brown
Maryland is a state that is full of surprises with all its unique characteristics. Composed of many islands Maryland has a variety of topography like no other state. In fact it has been nicknamed “America in Miniature” because of the many different land forms here. You will be able to find marshlands, sand dunes and pine groves all in this state.
Topography is not the only unique thing that you will find in Maryland. There are many unique things to do as well. You will never get bored with all the things that you can do here. You can watch performances, visit historical sites, shop on different stores or even visit vineyards and wineries throughout the state.
These are not the only things that you can do. Wherever you are in Maryland there will always be a craft show or fair for you to visit no matter what time of year it is. Things like this give you a good chance to score homemade items and goodies that have a touch of Maryland in them. There will always be something interesting since each craft show or fair showcases a different thing.
Craft fairs and shows can be interesting not only for those people who come to see it from different places. It can be interesting even if you live in Maryland. Why not take part in one of these? You won’t need to be a spectator most especially if you have a love for crafting. This can be the perfect place to show others the things that you make and sell them as well.
If you are interested in signing up or joining the next craft fair in Maryland, all you have to do is get the right details. You can do this by talking to people in charge or making use of an online calendar that will help you keep track of all the events that are going to take place. This can be a handy tool to have since you will have everything you need at your fingertips all the time.

I want to get a life/health insurance broker license?
Sep 15, 2008 by Ms. P | Posted in Small Business
I have studied for this license before, about 3 years ago. I want to do this part-time, I still have my study books. I live in the State of Maryland
I'm not sure about Maryland but in Tennessee you have to go to insurance school before you can test. I would check with the state of Maryland and make sure that your materials are up to date. Also find out if you have to go to school first. Good Luck!

Health coverage after a layoff - abc7news.com

5 Steps to Take for Holding on to Your Insurance Coverage 1. COBRA. While this may be the most expensive option, it's a good one for someone with a pre-existing medical condition. For people recently laid off, the first, immediate option to review is COBRA coverage. COBRA is required of businesses with 20 or more employees. It provides continuation of group health coverage that otherwise might be terminated. One common myth about COBRA coverage is that it is only good for 18 months, but quite often this is not the case as it can be continued indefinitely through state COBRA programs. First steps include checking with the employer's human resources department to receive complete information on how to qualify for COBRA, the costs and how to apply. If COBRA is an option, it should be carefully reviewed before being refused as once it's dismissed, it can't be recalled. 2. Going from a double- to a single-income family. For the family in a two-income home where one parent has been laid off, checking into programs like Healthy Families is an important step. In many states, a family of 4 can make up to $60,000 (California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Vermont, Washington, D.C.) and in other states up to $50,000 a year (Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, New Mexico, New York, Washington) and still qualify the children for comprehensive coverage. These programs may provide low-cost health coverage for children and teens up to age 19 including comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage. Moving the family's young dependents from private insurance to government sponsored plans can reduce monthly premiums and perhaps make a family's adult private premium coverage affordable.
