Buy Life Insurance Policy Wisconsin WI
Reader’s Question:
I want to buy life insurance policy in Wisconsin to be used as investment and earn additional money. What type of life insurance do you think I should purchase?
Kate
Milwaukee, WI
There are two types of life insurance you can choose from. These are the permanent and term life insurance. These two life insurance varies and a debate on which is better is not applicable because each type of life insurance targets different individuals and their needs.
If you want a life insurance that earns dividend while providing a protection, you might want to consider the permanent life insurance. If you have a long term goal, permanent life insurance is the best choice for you. People who purchase this at a young age, say 20, will have low premiums. As years pass by, the money will increase because of the compounding factor where interest grows the account without the need to add investment. You can also take a loan against your savings and receives money while you are still alive. Permanent life insurance also provides tax deferral benefits. This type of life insurance works in a way where part of the life insurance premium is allocated for life insurance protection while the remaining earns interest or life insurance dividends.

when it comes to insurance what does life insurance sections a and b mean. i live in wisconsin?
Feb 13, 2008 by Richoneday | Posted in Insurance
A & B...sounds like your looking at whole life...a & b is the deferance in weather or not your going to get to keep the savings built. 99% you don't get the savings, the company keeps it. Please look at Term Life...pure life insurance. Not knowing your age, you can get policies for as short as 10yrs or as long as 35yrs and your primiums stay level.
Also in a & b look for the words, and & or, that will tell you, you get one or the other. When you want the the money (savings) they give it to you in a loan, charging up to 8% rate.
I can go on and on, just find someone that sales Term and only Term.

Can life insurance be forced to go to pay debts if there are named be beneficiaries?
Feb 20, 2008 by Jennifer J | Posted in Insurance
My dad passed away in Nov. He had named beneficiaries on his life insurance at work. He has way more debt than assets, he will have a negative estate. Creditors are threatening that we should use the life insurance to pay the balances...are these just tactics they use? Should we be concerned that the money can somehow be taken? We live in Wisconsin. Thanks!
Life insurance is unique in that the death benefit, not the cash value always, usually free from debtors! UNLESS the policy has been assigned over to them or the beneficiary is them. The policy is unique, even with an estate plan, unless specificaly mentioned and beneficaries are changed will be paid only to the named beneficiary! This is generally true and is true in the Commonwealth of Penna.
Your father, my sympathy for your loss, had generally term insurance (no cash value) through work. Probally was not assigned because there is no cash value and the beneficary, if he listed one, is not a debtor. Call his HR or benefits department if you are the beneficiary, or the spouse or child or
executor (trix) and they will tell you only if you are beneficiary, but if not, they will not tell who is. I would contact your dad's place of employment first, then if necessary your State Insurance Commission, for an explanation (no charges). Then keep a log of these tactics and report to the Better Business Bureau, or if they are harassing your family, your attorney!
The only way, unless they are listed or assigned is if, your dad left no beneficiary. Then generally, it will go to the estate and after any taxation (the estate) then becomes part of the estate and is to be paid to creditors.
PLEASE NOTE.
These are general answers and info. I live in another state and each state has their own laws!
The State not the Federal gov't makes the laws here. So again, contact employer, the State insurance Commission--or reverse order, if you wish.
