Is there a health insurance plan for people recieving unemployed in new jersey?
In late december i was layed off from my job. I have been recieving unemployment benifits on a bi-weekly basis since then. Just recenlty I felt a "lump." I need to have it checked out but i can't even afford to see a regular doctor in New Jersey. The cheapest health insurance i can find is either $160/ mo with a $5,000 deductiable or $275/ mo with no deductiable. And yes, these plans are the bare minimum plans. Does anyone have any suggestions?!?
The State of NJ Department of Health and Senior Services has something called Centers for Primary Care. You can go to a location and obtain health services for a nominal fee, even if you do not have private health insurance. I included the link below for your review. Good luck.
